I’ve known Samantha all of my life, like many of you have, and she is such a sweet, sweet soul. She would give you the shirt off of her back to help you out and she is just genuinely a good person. She has worked hard to provide for her beautiful little girl, Anna Claire, and has also become a staple in our community in many ways. God sent Samantha and her little girl the man she’s prayed for her entire life, and they were married in a small, intimate ceremony last fall. I didn’t know Andrew personally prior to their wedding, but I can tell you that just from knowing him this short period of time, he and Samantha are truly soulmates. You can just see it in his eyes when he looks at her. Andrew didn’t just take on Samantha, but also a sweet little girl who he looks at as his own. He loves these girls whole-heartedly and you can see it when you watch them together. I had the honor and privilege to be there with her and the handful of guests to celebrate and help her document this glorious occasion.
Thank you Andrew, Samantha and Anna Claire, for letting me be there for you.
I had the honor of photographing Hudson a few weeks ago, and his daddy and I just so happen to go way back.
Back in my teenage years, I was a hard core softball player, and so was Katie Puryear. We played in the Dumas league together pretty much our entire lives. Always running around playing and attending every game was Katie’s little brother, Calvin. When he wasn’t in the stands cheering on Katie, he was on the field himself. Calvin was quite the baseball player. Although he’s a few years younger than me, I can remember him dominating on the ball field. I have no doubt Calvin will have his little boy on the field as soon as he can walk.
Calvin went on to marry Kathleen, and together they have brought a sweet, calm spirited little boy into the world. I didn’t know Kathleen prior to their newborn session, but just in the short time of working together it’s obvious that she and Calvin are a perfect match. They are both so in love with this little boy, and I can’t wait to watch him grow up on the ball field.
Meet Hudson Puryear:
My sweet great-nephew, Easton Bo, turned a year old last month! I cannot believe that a whole year has passed since this little guy was born! In case you didn’t get a chance to see his hospital/newborn session blog post back then, click here to read it!
Easton is a huge ham and loves to grin and get into things non-stop! I get videos from his mama all of the time of him digging in her cabinets and throwing toys everywhere. He’s so funny because in the midst of getting into trouble for digging things out that he shouldn’t be, he will flash a big smile that he knows will get him out trouble for it! To say he’s a huge mama’s boy is definitely and understatement! This little boy absolutely loves his mama!
His birthday theme was absolutely adorable! I love the plaids, wood and pines! Easton has a huge sweet tooth too, so he had no trouble at all digging into his adorable cake made by his Nana (Patty Morris)!
Take a look at this sweet baby boy’s smash cake session!
