Lynnsey | Dumas, Arkansas Senior Photographer

Lynnsey has played softball almost her entire life, and she’s quite good at it.  It was only natural to want to include it in her Senior session since that’s part of who she is.  She is a senior at Dumas High School and is looking forward to college.  Although she’s undecided on where to go, she’s excited about the new path and change of pace.  She seriously needs to play college ball, because she is just that good!

P.S.  If you’re playing against her and plan to steal 2nd base, don’t even try.

Brains and beauty….this is Lynnsey:

Dee | Dumas, Arkansas Senior Photographer

Dee came to me with several ideas in mind to capture during her senior session.  First of all, she wanted to incorporate her mom, who she lost to cancer a few years ago.

Her mama taught me in 7th grade, and she was so much fun.  She was a little ball of energy and kept us laughing, not to mention she was an excellent teacher.  Christy was one of those that you knew you could go to if you had any kind of problem and she would listen to you and help you figure things out.  I haven’t met a person yet that didn’t have anything but good things to say about her, and I can tell that Dee is walking in her footsteps.

Second, she wanted to incorporate one of her good friends that passed in a car wreck right around the time she lost her mom.  Dane had a contagious smile, and although I didn’t personally know him, I know he touched this community just by hearing the stories his friends and family share of him.

Last but definitely not least, Dee wanted to incorporate the family business and do a generation portrait with her Dad and Grandfather.  Mizell Heating and Air began in the building behind them in their portrait, and has gown to service a huge portion of the state of Arkansas and surrounding states.  Although they may no longer operate from this building, the values and work ethic of this company hasn’t changed.

We worked together to bring these ideas to life for Dee, and I couldn’t be more proud of her portraits.  I pray that she can look at these for years to come and proudly smile at the lives she’s touched and at the people who helped grow her into the beautiful young woman she is today.

Valeria | Dumas, Arkansas Senior Photographer

McGehee High School Class of 2018

Valeria is as sweet as she is smart.  She loves her school, being with her friends, and loves those Friday night lights with her teammates cheering on the Owls.

She took us to a family friends home to do her portraits, and this place was a wonderland.  There were beautiful shade trees all around, tons of colorful flowers all throughout the back yard, and a serene bayou out to the side.  We had fun walking around the property taking her portraits.

She had so many gorgeous portraits, but these topped the list of favorites:

Tristan | Dumas, Arkansas Senior Photographer

Tristan is the oldest of 3, so he’s the first to enter in to this ‘graduation’ season of his family’s lives.  I could see the mixed emotions in his mama’s eyes during the session while watching her baby have his portraits done.  It was pride, heartbreak, excitement, sadness….everything a mother feels when dealing with their child entering a new phase.

As for Tristan….he was cool, calm and collected.  He was easy-going and didn’t have any particular requests.  He was there to do whatever his mom and I asked of him, and he did it well.

Here are their favorites from his session:

Mary Rebekah | Dumas, Arkansas Senior Photographer

Mary Rebekah has the beauty and the brains.

She has an infectious personality….the kind that you can’t help but to be in a good mood when you’re around her!  She is in the running for Valedictorian of her class and is a dedicated member of the MHS dance team.

I want to be Mary Rebekah when I grow up.

LOL.  Seriously though, she is so determined and focused.  I know she will do big things after graduation, and I can’t wait to see!

Jack | Dumas, Arkansas Senior Photographer

I can officially mark it off my bucket list to photograph a President, because I now have.

Back in January of this year Jack, and his fellow members of the McGehee High School Beta Club, attended the Arkansas state Beta Convention.  He ran for the position of President and had to come up with an overall theme that included his speech and a skit.

If you’ve ever been to Beta Convention, you know the speech is very important and opens the door to the crowd remembering just WHO you are.  It gives thousands of teens from across the state of Arkansas a chance to meet you without ever saying hi, and you have the ultimate task to make your mark on these peers in minutes.  After the speech comes the closer.  This is where Jack’s friends come into play.  They put together a 30 second choreographed skit that tied in the theme of Jack’s speech and made a final imprint on the crowds minds.

Jack’s theme was Prince Charming, and his skit was set to Disney characters and music.  It was amazing!

Jack won the position of President for the Arkansas State Beta Club, and the skit team won third place for their performance!  They attended the National Convention in Orlando, Florida this summer, and although they came up short on the Presidency, the skit team placed 2nd overall!  They got to finish with a trip to Disney World.  Talk about memories being made!

Jack, I hope your Senior year is as amazing as this summer has been (and I have a feeling it will be!)

Ana | Dumas, Arkansas Senior Photographer

Ana is an upcoming senior at DeWitt High School, but she also bleeds the blood of her hometown school, the Gillett Wolves.

She grew up in Gillett and was able to attend school there during her elementary years.

She knew she absolutely had to include her old school, her heritage, and most importantly, her faith.  I absolutely love how it turned out!  Here are her favorites:
